Founded in 2013 Radio Deeside Community Radio found its home in Deeside Leisure Centre and broadcasts 24 hours per day with a mixture of locally-sourced content together with content from further afield.
With over 25 presenters (all volunteers) broadcasting from their own homes since the covid 19 outbreak.
Our broadcast content covers various genres of music together with community content from and about local charities / voluntary groups etc.
Our values are firmly centred around community. It’s about local listeners, local issues, and local presenters.
We believe local radio is important. We believe when it is done properly, with the right funding, the right people and the right motives it can help change the lives of listeners and make a real and lasting impact to the area that it serves.
It can help local businesses prosper and thrive, making a real impact on the economy of the areas where it still exists and it can provide skills and training to local people.
We really feel that local radio makes a difference to our local listeners.
